1. I agree to take in animal(s) into my home for adoption placement. These animals are considered foster animals only if placed by the Foster Program Coordinator or their authorized agent. I understand that DREAM Animal Rescue reserves the right to inspect the foster home at any time to ensure suitability for these purposes. I agree to be bound under the terms of the Foster Program for that animal(s).*

2. I agree to take full responsibility to provide adequate food, toileting facilities/materials, shelter and loving environment for the foster animal(s). Cats must be kept indoors at all times. Dogs must be on a leash at all times outside the foster home.*

3. I understand that DREAM Animal Rescue does not knowingly misrepresent any animal’s age, condition of health, or temperament. I also understand that DREAM Animal Rescue cannot guarantee the health of the animal(s) beyond what is established by provided veterinary care. Please plan for a two week isolation period from other animal(s) for the protection of the personal animal’s health as well as the foster animal's health.*

4. I understand that DREAM Animal Rescue cannot be held responsible if the animal(s) is unsuitable for my home environment or becomes ill or acts in an erratic manner. If I cannot keep the foster animal(s), I agree that I will return it to DREAM Animal Rescue*

5. Under DREAM Animal Rescue's policy and the laws of the State of California, all animals must be spayed or neutered as soon as they are old enough. If an appointment is made for the animal(s) to be sterilized, I agree to take it to the approved veterinarian at the appointed time. *

6. I agree to administer any medication(s) provided to me for the animal(s). I agree to take the animal to the approved veterinarian for any immunization or treatment required. I understand that all medication and medical treatment will be paid for by DREAM Animal Rescue, provided that it is authorized by DREAM Animal Rescue before treatment is rendered. I understand that DREAM Animal Rescue practices shelter medicine, and as such, any medication or veterinary care not authorized by DREAM Animal Rescue is the sole responsibility of the foster volunteer. In the event of an emergency with the animal(s), I agree to call the President, Foster Program Coordinator, or a member of the Medical Team. I understand that I will not be reimbursed for any expenses not approved in advance by DREAM Animal Rescue, unless it is a life-or-death situation.*

7. I understand that DREAM Animal Rescue will provide the foster family with all food required to feed the foster animal(s) and the litter required for providing appropriate toileting facilities. I understand that should I choose to feed them different food or provide different litter, I will not be reimbursed for these expenses. These costs may be considered in-kind donations if used specifically and only for DREAM Animal Rescue foster animal(s).*

8. I understand that the foster animal is the sole property of DREAM Animal Rescue and cannot under any circumstances be given to anyone or adopted by anyone without completion of a DREAM Animal Rescue Application for Adoption, Adoption Contract, Home Check and collection of the required Adoption Fee. The adoption must be approved by the President or Foster Program Coordinator. The Foster Parent will be responsible for the Adoption Fee and any expenses if the animal is given or adopted without completing the adoption process.*

9. I understand that medications are available from DREAM Animal Rescue if needed for approved foster animal(s). If I request or purchase medications or medical supplies other than those authorized by DREAM Animal Rescue or available from DREAM Animal Rescue, then the cost is my responsibility. These costs may be considered in-kind donations if used specifically and only for DREAM Animal Rescue foster animal(s).*

10. I have reviewed and understand all DREAM Animal Rescue's adoption documents. I further understand that I will not execute the DREAM Animal Rescue Adoption Contract without approval of a member of the Adoption team or the Foster Program Coordinator.*

11. I agree that the foster animal(s) must be networked and listed for adoption. I also agree to bring my foster animal(s) to one adoption event per month or more, unless otherwise agreed upon with the Foster Program Coordinator. The animal(s) must be clean and flea-free, healthy and in good condition. I also agree to be on-time, and to show up when scheduled, as space is limited at the adoptions events.*

12. I understand that if I foster a momma animal with babies, I will need to provide them a safe and quiet environment away from other pets and family traffic. I also understand that I need to provide the momma animal with a whelping box for a place to put her babies. If I have any questions I must direct them to the Medical Team or Foster Program Coordinator. *

13. I understand that working with scared or ill animals may involve risk. I release Dream Animal Rescue, its volunteers, agents, treating veterinarians and their staff and agents from all liability related to the handling, treatment, and transportation of the animal(s) that I foster.*

14. I agree to notify DREAM Animal Rescue immediately if there are any changes in my address or phone number.*

15. I certify that my own animal(s) are current on all immunizations, FIV/FeLV negative and are spayed/neutered.*

16. I agree to return the foster animal(s) to DREAM Animal Rescue upon request by the President or Foster Program Coordinator if all of the above conditions are not met.*

17. I agree to defend, indemnify, and hold DREAM Animal Rescue, its affiliates, officers, and volunteers, harmless from direct or indirect and consequential damages arising out of this foster care arrangement.*
