Get to know Lyra

Good day special friend,

My name is Lyra, I am a very special kitten. I am feisty and playful, yet very sweet and purrfect! My coat is super silky and soft. It has beautiful markings and makes me look royal! I am shy when you first meet me, but warm up to you gradually.  I love to be pet and am learning to rest on laps, but I’m not very fond of being carried around.

I love to pounce on shiny, rattling toys and bat them around the room.  I carry around my favorite mice and stuffed toys like a lion carrying its prey. If you shine a laser in front of me, I will chase it all around the room. I keep trying to catch the laser, but the sneaky thing always escapes! I also love to sit by a sunny window and bask in the sun.

I would do well in a home by myself or with 1-2 other mellow kitties. They just need to give me some space when I am eating, I get a little protective of my food. I like the calm dog I live with. She’s fine because she doesn’t mess with me! The feisty dog at my house is not on my favorites list. He’s got too much energy!
