Get to know Popie
Popie is a sweet little man. He had a hard life on the streets and was in poor shape and had some dental issues. It took a few months of getting him in good enough shape for 2 surgeries so he can be the happy and healthy boy he is today. He does not have any teeth now after his surgeries, but his stomatitis is under control, he’s no longer in pain, he eats heartily, and he can chow down on both dry & wet food.
He is a mellow senior cat who loves to lounge in cat trees or look out windows. He would do best as an only cat, because he LOVES being near his people, and lay next to them as they relax, work, or even sleep! He is very shy at first, and just needs some time to know that he is safe, he can trust, and he won’t be hurt. Once he feels comfortable and safe, he loves to rub up against your legs or get some pets. He is quite adamant about not getting any belly rubs, because head scritches are way better. He has very cute little chirps and meows occasionally, otherwise he doesn’t make too much noise. He is ready for a quiet home of his own where he can feel safe and be by his people often!
