Get to know Jax
Jax is a stunning long haired orange tabby with golden eyes and a pink nose who is in need of a gentle loving home to relax and enjoy his humans. As a baby he was kept in a cage in the shelter and was not touched by the staff for a few months so when his foster Mom got him he was very scared of humans. Over the course of a year, this boy has opened up and is learning to trust humans, wanting attention/love but still somewhat flinchy about it. He will sleep at the foot of the bed of his foster mama, loves to chase toys, and approach for pets when he feels comfortable. He is still healing from the mental trauma inflicted as a kitten, but with the right person, he will make a wonderful companion to grow with. Would do best in a home that is kid-free, or older considerate teens and quiet. Someone who understands cats, and is willing to keep working with him and appreciate how far he has come. He gets along well with his foster cat siblings (two males 1.5 & 7 years, one female 9yrs old) but not sure how he will react to other new cats. So we would recommend a slow introduction to other welcoming cats who are open to a sibling.
